Introduction of Zakagori virtual tour.
Zakagori settlement located in Truso, north-eastern part of Georgia.
This tour is interesting with several components:
- Due to its strategic location, the village was a citadel of the Truso Valley and protected it from the enemy coming from the north.
- The complex consists of single, closely spaced buildings, built on the principle of a defensive fortress, with its towers and terraced dwellings on the terrain. Has its own small courtyard.
- Only a few families lived in the village, and when the enemy invaded, the defenders of the gorge from the neighborhood joined them and formed the united, strong force.
- Near the village is the Church of the Archangel.
